The Abandoned House

I purchased this abandoned home through MLS for $130,000. The home had been abandoned for years and I took possession with dead animals inside. It had been raining inside the home for years through open holes in the roof.  I knew right away that with the condition of this house, my budget and the floor plan that it would give me the canvas I needed to use my creativity to its fullest.

This abandoned project was a complete gut down to the studs with all new  mechanicals. I basically created a new home minus the foundation and framing.  I moved some walls around, opened the floor plan, raised the ceilings, arched all the openings and added a master bath. This complete remodel included all new electrical, central air/heat, ducting, insulation, drywall, all flooring including real cherry hardwoods and custom tile.

We also added special wiring for a flat screen TV and surround sound.  The first thing I did after demo was replace the entire roof including the sheeting as well as have the foundation leveled as it had sunk 6 inches in one corner.

Houses that sit abandoned for years will need everything replaced. You can count on new plumbing, electrical, roof, kitchen and bathrooms. We buy abandoned houses in San Diego. If there is what appears to be an abandoned house or neglected vacant property please let us know and we will pay referral fees.

My landscaping package was also quite extensive with the use of limestone boulders. After staging the home it sold in 13 days for $344,000. Sell your House Now Fast Cash! 619 438-0234
