Flipping San Diego

It looks like A&E finally green lighted the announcement of a new Flip This House team for 2013. It’s our friend Chief Denney here in San Diego with a new show called Flipping San Diego. Chief does really nice work, has a lot of integrity when it comes to renovating houses and furthermore is a graduate of New School of Architecture here in San Diego.  What you guys are in store for this upcoming season on Flip This House from the San Diego team will be unlike any other season in the past so its a must see for house flipping fans. Sorry but there wont be any painting over rotten wood, shoddy lipstick rehabs, faked arguments with contractors or staged open house sales. I’m looking forward to the spotlight on the hot San Diego house flipping scene, and happy to see that it will involve someone ethical with good design sense and doing quality rehabs to show the nation how California does it! Tune into the new Flip This House season debuting July 20th on A&E.

Over the years we’ve been approached by 3 different production companies to do realty shows but never found the right “fit”, you might remember this old post http://tomtarrant.com/another-real-estate-reality-show-offer/

I SAW THE BARCLAY FLIP, THEY DIDN’T PULL PERMITS, THEY DID A SUPER SHODDY JOB, IT WAS STAGED TO HIDE STUFF, THE BACK BEDROOM HAD A COVERED UP FIREPLACE, THE BATHROOM DOOR WAS NOT TO CODE, THEY DID LOTS OF STUFF THAT WAS JUST CRAPPY. I HAVE SEEN MUCH NICER HOMES THAT ARE BEING FLIPPED, THESE GUYS ARE A JOKE, JUST OUT SELLING SEMINARS ALREADY…THEIR SHOW HAS NOT AIRED, BUT THEY ARE ON FACEBOOK, PUSHING A SEMINAR. NO DIFFERENT THEN THE OTHER CLOWNS ON A AND E’S FLIP THIS HOUSE, OR FLIPPING BOSTON..THE ONLY ONES NOT PUSHING SEMINARS IS FLIP OR FLOP!

I can’t wait to see San Diego in the spotlight. We live in a beautiful city and this show should help our real estate market and showcase some local trades and craftsmen that have really suffered with the downturn in the economy that started several years ago. There are so many talented and experienced people who want to work and need the work and this new A & E series should give our “local talent” a boost!

David, did you see the Tiny Tiny House? Wow, is all I can say! They repaired HUGE problems with that house. A three day seminar is a tremendous value for a whopping $97 bucks. There are gurus in San Diego selling seminars for thousands of dollars – teaching people the difference between drywall screws and wood screws. It is up to us to decide whether or not someone is offering useful information.

Tom Tarrant and Chief and his team are talented problem solvers that continually make each community better. Maybe you should check out Duck Dynasty. I’ll stick with these guys.
